Tasting the City visits Sandpiper Cafe and Gifts in delightful Dunedin! Sandwiches, deserts, and wonderful fresh roasted coffee. Great place to relax while walking downtown Dunedin. David shows me why this place is a good place to stop in Dunedin, Florida.
Tasting the City visits Cotherman Distilling in Dunedin. Fine 727 Vodka and a New Gin are coming and are distilled in Dunedin. When you need a little something special for yourself from distilled spirts or gift item this is a Great place to visit. This a special place, and rare change to see a real distillery. Dunedin’s first distillery making 727 brand Vodka spirits.
We will be making distilled spirits…. Some people ask “what kind?”… Well, not to be sarcastic, but the kind we hope you enjoy when you drink, the kind we make from as many local ingredients as possible, the kind we make in harmony with the other business in the area, and most importantly, the kind you drink with responsibility with and in moderation. Not many small breweries just make stouts, so don’t expect us to make just whiskey, although single malt whiskey will be made… We also believe there is a huge potential for Craft Gin, Gin with a more approachable character, with local and exotic botanicals. I conclusion, we hope to make an array of fine artisan spirits that broaden the horizons of people who are used to mass-marketed spirits…Michael Cotherman

Tasting the City visits the New England Ale House in Palm Harbor and has a Maple Bacon Porkchop at New England’s Ale House Grill, and wow is it good! This was paired with beer and cider drink spiced with Cinnamon and an apple slice. For dessert we have Apple Brown Betty with ice cream and whipped cream.
